Kelly Miller Circus - May 15th, 2009

The Loveland Arts Council is bringing the Kelly Miller Circus to Loveland!

The circus will roll into town on Friday, May 15th. Everyone is invited to come out and watch the animals being unloaded and fed, and the elephants raising the big top.

Activities will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Loveland High Schoo, and the tent will be raised at 9:00 a.m. Guides will be furnished for school groups and anyone attending.

The traditional "old style" circus will present two performances at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Come out and enjoy a day of fun filled excitement at the circus.

Support The Loveland Arts Council and The Loveland Stage Company's Rebuild & Play On Fund by buying your tickets early. Both organizations will benefit more by advanced ticket sales, so buy your tickets prior to circus day to support these two all volunteer/non-profit organizations.

Tickets In Advance~Adult $10.00 and Children (under 12) $6.00, On Circus Day~Adults $14.00 and Children (under 12) $7.00

You're Invited to the Annual Meeting

If you've ever wanted to know more about the Loveland Arts Council but were afraid to ask, the annual meeting is for you. At the Annual Meeting, you will be able to find out all about the Loveland Arts Council---what it is, what they do, how to join…etc. You will meet other council members, meet the board members, and hear the board’s plans for 2009.

This year we have lots of exciting plans, and we can't wait to tell you about them. If you have ideas about art-related events that you are interested in suggesting be sure to do that, just be ready to pitch in and help execute that idea.

Oh, and did we mention there will be food? Light snacks and drinks will be provided. So come and find out about the Loveland Arts Council this Thursday, March 5th at 7 pm. If you have questions about the Loveland Arts Council call Kay Bolin


Loveland Arts Council Winter Show Winners

The Winter Show was a huge success. Although, the weather was chilly, there was a great turnout. The art was a mix of landscapes, sports figures, nature paintings, photography, silk scarves, jewelry, and pottery.

The winners from the Winter Show were:
1st Place: Bill Montgomery
2nd Place: Missy McCormick
3rd: Barbara Guthridge Landin
Honorable Mention: Jason Yoder and Tim O'Grady
People's Choice was: Robert Coomer

Paint the Town - June 20th - 29th
Council would like to invite you to "Paint the Town". Paint or create in any art medium as long as you like between the dates of June 20 and June 29, at as many locations as you like. Come and have FUN! Enjoy our beautiful town and the friendly audiences you will attract.

This year "Paint the Town," will be from June 20th-June 29th Loveland offers many amazing views for artists: Little Miami Scenic River & Bike Trail, Granny's Garden, Historic Downtown District, Log Cabin, Loveland Castle, Grailville Retreat Center and Organic Farm, etc
